Print this page Social & Emotional Play: Building the Base for Self-Control and Working with Others

Play helps your child learn social skills. Whether with adults or other children, it's the way kids of all ages learn about sharing, taking turns, negotiating, following rules, solving conflicts, and compassion. Let them plan tea parties, play board games, or builds block castles as a social team.
